Jeopardy

Today in class we watched jeopardy. It was pretty fun cause we got to see questions that I haven't even thought off in a million years. Also, we didn't have to do any work since this was the last day of human geo class until Tuesday where we have western civil. I also don't have Mr. Schick anymore cause I'm moving two floors up to Mr. Fendryk. Jeopardy was very interesting cause some of my classmates new some of the answers to questions I have never heard of. Finally, even though I could have done better in this class I still have learned a lot and I hope I have a good time in western civilization.

Test day

Today we took a test on jared diamond and the culture of Papa New Guinea. I think I did really good on this test and this test should raise my grade because I have a 85% so above an 85 should lift it. To me I think I only got like one or two wrong total. Which was the one where it talked about the prehistoric age and what came before it which I thought is the ice age. Also, the one where it talked about what is wrong with the fertile crescent and I put the volcanoes but now I think it was overarming. I also studied the 14 different animals that can be domesticated and that are 100 pounds and more a lot and there was only one question which said that the only one that wasn't one that could be domesticated. Finally, we have learned a lot about the this topic and what Yalis question really meant to us and Jared diamond.

Review of test

Today we watched the rest of the video we have been reviewing for the past week. It talked about the agriculture and the animals that make farming better. Like the New Guineans don't have cows and chickens that can make it easier to get food and make farming easier for like pulling things. We also learned that sense they don't have cows and other animals they don t get the right food cause I they get there is sago, bananas, and some other fruit. I also learned that there is 100 million cows in the the United States which means there could be 1 cow for every 3 people. Also there was animal domestication in the video where you interact with them and actually care for them. By the way the goats and sheep were the first animals to be domesticated in the ancient times. Finally, there is only about 14 species of animals that are domesticated and above 100 pounds.

Jared Diamond 2

Today we learned more about the papa New Guinea culture and agriculture. So from the video it talked about the Draa which is the what they believed was the first community that was ever discovered and ran by people. These. communities of people were in number of about 40-50 people so not at all. compared to modern day communities. This place also held the first ever farm created by man, and what was different about the two place Draa and Papa New Guinea was that Draa was a place where they planted wheat and barley way more nutritious and had way more protein than the sago from the tree that New Guineans made. I also learned that the places that started farming one thing and it came from there was China which had rice, Americas which had beans, squash and corn and finally South Africa which had sorghum, millet, and yams. Finally, this wouldn't be possible for Jared Diamond to do all of this if it weren't for geographical luck.

Jared Diamond

Today we learned a lot about the Papa New Guinea culture and Jared Diamond. Like we learned that these people choose the lifestyle of hunter and gatherer, which is a lot like the stone age or prehistoric age which only happens other then them is only like the Amazon or Northern Canada or Alaska. I also  learned that there is people in Papa New Guinea that live in the modern world like on the coast of the country cause it is an island. The video we have been watching has also taught me how these people actually eat like for one they have to hunt the animals like the deer and other animals that contain a lot of meat. They also get food from trees called wild sago which the way they eat it is like they have to turn it it into dough which can take a few days and cook from that dough. Finally, I learned from Jared Diamond was that the ways to make up a great civilization is to have a advanced tech, large populations and a well organized work force.

Writing Essays 2

Today we finished or almost finished our or almost finished our essay we have to write for tomorrow.  This is the rest from yesterday that I have  Russia   is a country where they have  many different  things  going for them. They have a very low birth rate so there  are  rarely people having babies which will  drop the population tremendously  so for the future even though they have a very high population will probably drop in the next decade.  Russia is also not  a very  nice country to immigrate to cause the government  has long term migration that Russia still haven't dealt with.  We also must consider the fact that most migrants have no access to social services and benefits in Russia, excluding a small group with permanent residence permits.   Finally, what the leader can do is make it easier to adapt to migrating to Russia and persuade people to have more ba bies.  Therefore, the last country was talking about is Spain this country is a low population because many things cau

Writing essays

Today we were writing essays for the exam we have on Friday where we have to write a whole 5 page essay on the topic we chose. This is what I have wrote so far,  For this essay I have chosen Egypt,  Mexico ,  and Russia which as we know has many  different  backgrounds  that  are good and bad.  These countries all deal with population  problems  and  migration problems due to war, poverty, and even  religious persecution.  Even though they have these things there is still good things that come out of living in these places.  Also, what their leaders need to do about these  problems and how they  can  fix them.   So, let's talk about  Mexico ,  Mexico  is a country that doesn’t really have a population growth which makes the countr y skyrocket in their population. They have a stable population of people but the real question many people want to go somewhere else rather  than   stay .  In Mexico there is one of the highest drug  countries   in the whole world. Which means there is wa
