CIA World Fact-book questions

Chads population without electricity is 14 million- This is interesting because that is a lot of people compared to our country and many other counties. This is important to what we're learning because without electricity it can cause people to be in the dark for most of their life and it can cause a very bad living place to be. It can also cause many people to emigrate out of the country which causes a less populated area.

South Sudan has a death rate of 19.30- This death rate is the number one ranked in the world which is interesting because one the death rate of them is 4.20 more than the second ranked country which is Lesotho. Also the death rate is so high because they are second in the world of maternal death rate which means most of the deaths are just dying at birth. Finally, it relates to the work we're doing in class because deaths can cause the population to drop by a lot and we have been reviewing a lot about what changes population of different countries.

Life expectancy of women is 72 years and men is 67.8 years-  This is interesting to me because I am a male human being so going by the facts I might live a shorter life than a female. Just because the past many years the men have fought in a lot of wars, not gone to the doctor when they should have and just had a job that many women don't choose to work there because its dangerous stuff. It relates to what we're learning because that again can cause the population to change, if men are dying more than women than reproduction rate can change.

The United States birth rate is 12.4- This is interesting because back in like 1950's to the early 2000's many adults were having a lot of kids and now that number has changed because a lot of things changed from now to back then. First of all after world war 2 the mons and soldiers wanted to have bigger families because the men haven't been with their wives in a while. Also, it was easier to have bigger families back then because of money it was cheaper to have many babies at a time then now. It is important to what we're learning because it shows the changes from the population change and growth from back then and from now.

United States infant mortality rate is 5.7- This is interesting because our country is 170th in the world which means many babies are staying alive before they get to one years old. Compared to other countries that have very high infant mortality rates because they don't have the things to have a good pregnancy or they are having many abortions because they don't have the money to care for the child. Finally this relates to what we're talking about in class because if you have bigger infant mortality rates then your population will decrease.
